A command center
Node, wallet, mining, swap, marketplace, payment: everything is controlled and observed from a single app, live. It's the Command Center.
- fair-launch · 100% Proof of Work · private by construction
Bezant is a fair-launch, 100% Proof-of-Work, private-by-construction currency - designed so an ordinary user can install it, mine and pay in under five minutes, without giving up sovereignty or privacy. One installer, a guided flow, your keys on your device.

01 - why
Money should serve the people who use it. Today, most digital money runs through intermediaries that can freeze your funds, close your account, or go bankrupt with your money. Crypto alternatives have often turned into speculative casinos themselves, disconnected from any real use.
Bezant exists to offer a third path: a digital currency that truly belongs to those who use it, that can be exchanged directly between humans, and whose rules are known and written into the code - not decided by a board of directors.
Our name is no accident. The bezant - the gold coin of the Byzantine Empire - circulated for nearly a thousand years across three continents. Its stability came from its integrity, not from marketing. That is the model we seek to reproduce in the digital age.
02 - the app

Node, wallet, mining, swap, marketplace, payment: everything is controlled and observed from a single app, live. It's the Command Center.
Your keys, your signing, your node and your mining stay on your device. If our servers vanish tomorrow, the app keeps working exactly the same.
Observe and control your trusted instances - Node 1, 2, 3 - with live telemetry. Remote control stays gated until you enable it.
03 - the wallet
Bezant never holds your funds. No one can. Your private key stays on your device, encrypted locally. That is the fundamental difference between Bezant and a centralized exchange.
$ bezant wallet new
> Generating new wallet...
> Mnemonic: marble lounge crisp ... (12 words)
> Address: bz1q4k7...8x2m
> Wallet saved to ~/.bezant/wallets/default.json (encrypted)What you see is what runs. The code is published.
04 - mining
No need for a $50,000 farm. A recent computer, a stable connection, and the will to take part in the network. Bezant was designed so that money production stays distributed - not concentrated among a handful of industrial players.

Consumer hardware is enough to take part. The actual yield depends on the network parameters at launch and is not defined yet - no figure is promised.
Mining means providing computing power to a network that needs it to operate. In exchange for this service, the protocol rewards the miner in newly issued Bezants. This is how the currency is created - through the work of participants, not by decree.
It depends on hardware, electricity, and network difficulty. We publish an honest calculator that accounts for your real costs. Mining Bezant is not an investment - it is participation in an infrastructure.
Download the app, enable the miner module, check that your hardware is compatible. The network starts recognizing you within 24 hours.
05 - crypto exchange
Bezant includes a non-custodial crypto-to-crypto swap: you exchange BZT against other cryptocurrencies through temporary swap wallets, with no intermediary ever holding your funds, at 0% platform commission. Bezant never touches fiat: buying BZT with dollars is a regulated, licensed activity. That will come through a listing on an external exchange when possible, never through Bezant.
Crypto to crypto, via temporary swap wallets. Bezant never holds your funds; only small network fees may apply.
Currency exchange stays at 0% Bezant commission. The protocol is for discovery and settlement, never custody of your funds.
Buying BZT with fiat requires licenses we do not have. In time this will happen through a listing on a third-party exchange, not through Bezant.
Honest by design: Bezant does not buy or sell BZT for fiat (a regulated activity that requires licenses). The swap is crypto to crypto, non-custodial. Fiat will come via an external exchange when it becomes possible.
06 - the ecosystem
Bezant is intended to integrate with Freemen Pay, the payment module of the Freemen Solutions ecosystem. Concretely: pay a bill, receive a salary, settle with a merchant - in Bezants, with the same ease as a card. This integration is under development and will be announced publicly when it is ready. We do not promise a date.
07 - our commitments
We did not sell a single Bezant before the public launch. We did not reserve any allocation for the founders. We did not raise funds in exchange for tokens. Every existing Bezant was mined, by someone, under the same rules as yours. That is what “fair-launch” means to us.
08 - for developers
Bezant is entirely open source, under the Apache 2.0 License. All of the protocol, wallet, miner and API code is published on GitHub. You can audit, fork, contribute.
import { BezantClient } from '@bezant/sdk'
const client = new BezantClient({ network: 'mainnet' })
const balance = await client.wallet.balance('bz1q4k7...8x2m')
const tx = await client.wallet.send({
to: 'bz1qz9p...4f1n',
amount: 12.5,
fee: 'normal',
})09 - honest questions
Bitcoin is remarkable, but it has become expensive to use day to day, and its mining is largely industrialized. Bezant does not position itself against Bitcoin - it offers a complementary approach, optimized for everyday use and distributed mining.
Yes. Any project can fail. If usage does not follow, if the network loses its nodes, if the community dissolves - Bezant will have been an experiment that did not hold. We do not promise you success. We promise you an honest framework to try something useful.
You lose access to your funds, permanently. That is the direct trade-off of sovereignty: no one can steal from you, but no one can restore your access either. We strongly insist on backing up the mnemonic phrase.
No. Bezant is not sold, is not backed by an asset, promises no yield, and is issued by no legal entity. It is a digital-currency protocol. Legal qualification varies by jurisdiction; consult an adviser in your country if needed.
No one. The rules of issuance, validation and governance are written into the code, which runs on the network's nodes. Any change must go through a public process, signaled in advance, and accepted by a majority of the nodes.
By not trusting us. By reading the code. By verifying transactions. By taking part in the network. Trust in Bezant does not come from our word - it comes from the fact that you can verify everything yourself.
